This is
the second installment in the Super Butouden series.
While not the best DBZ game out there, it is still
fun to play. It has some good moves and a decent amount
of characters. The graphics are good but not the greatest
for a Famicon (SNES in America) game. If you don't
have the time or the resources you should probably
get Hyper Dimension or Super Butouden 3 instead. But
if your a hardcore DBZ fan (like me) you don't wanna
miss this classic game.
The gameplay in this game
is quite similar to that of all the other Super Butoudens.
The bars that separate the 2 players (when you are too
far away from each other) are back. You get all the players
main moves plus some other highly powerful ki attacks.
The only problem I have with the gameplay is the difficulty.
The game is too easy, all you have to do is skillfully
throw ki blasts and you win the game. With some guys you
could just stand in place and press the A button lots
of times (shoots small ki blasts) and win the game. Even
though it is a pretty easy, the game can be fun.
The graphics in
this game is pretty good. Although it doesn't compare with
the 3d graphics of the newer systems it is still good compared
to other SNES games. Some of the levels feature sandstorms
(picture above to the right).
Overall I thought
the game was pretty good but I just wanted a more fast paced
difficult game.
