FUNi Crew at Project A-Kon

May 17, 2001

FUNimation will be at the anime convention, Project A-Kon, which is located in Dallas, Texas. Which happens to be in the same state as FUNi HQ.

The following has been excerpted from FUNimation's official site, in it's complete, uncut, unedited, and gramatically incorrect form.

FUNimation will be at Project A-Kon June 1-3. A-Kon is located in Dallas at the intersection of Coit Rd. and LBJ Freeway at The Westin Park Central & Sheraton Park Central. The FUNimation booth will be in the dealer's room, which is open 10 am to 6 pm each day of the convention. Come by the booth and you can pick up information about FUNimation's 2 new series, Blue Gender and Yu Yu Hakusho, buy some cool merchandise, and meet the voice actors from the DBZ series who will be signing free autographs. Listed below are the actors who will be signing and the schedule of when they will be signing each day:

Friday signing from 3-5 pm will be Sean Schemmel, the voice of Goku and King Kai, and Eric Johnson, the voice of Trunks

Saturday signing from 11:30 am -1:30 pm will be Sean Schemmel, and Cynthia Cranz, the voice of Chi Chi, and from 3:30-5:30 pm Eric Johnson and Kyle Hebert, the voice of adult Gohan

Sunday signing from 11:00 am -1:00 pm will be Mike McFarland, the voice of Master Roshi, and Dameon Clarke, the voice of Cell, and from 2:00-4:00 pm Chris Sabat, the voice of Vegeta, Piccolo and Yamcha, and Meredith Thompson, the voice of Android 18.

This is probably the single best chance to meet so many voice actors in such a short amount of time. FUNimation will also be showing, in the convention video rooms, a sneak preview screening from the Dragon Ball series, which is scheduled to begin airing on Cartoon Network June 25th and a sneak preview screening of Blue Gender. A-Kon is filled with great programming, many guest and will be giving away lots of cool prizes throughout the convention. Check out their web site at www.a-kon.com.

This convention is going to be a blast so make plans to come by and hang out.
