It
looks like Pioneer might have finally chosen it's distributor
for the theatrical release of "Akira." Although
no formal annoucements have been made a WHOIS lookup
over at Network Solutions shows that Warner Bros. recently
bought the domain akiramovie.com. You can check

If
Warner Bros. actually distributes the film, it might
gets some solid promotions. While I don't expect the
level of advertisement Pokemon had I still expect it
to do well. If this film succeeds we might see some
of the newer Sci-fi anime come to theatres in the US.
