According
to a recent update over at Anime
News Network another company might have cleverly
obtained the rights to the popular site's domain name.
For now the original owner Brian Real wants you to not
visit Toriyama.org. The company who bought the domain
is currently trying to make money off of it by showing
advertising to the visitors. So I encourage all our
visitors to listen to him and not make the problem worse
by visiting.
Toriyama.org
is a fan site with a large database filled with info
on the creator of Dragon Ball as well as other manga
and anime. The site has had previous problems and was
down for a while due to other hosting related problems.
Now it has to deal with another major problem. One member
of the original staff has already offered to pay $375
dollars to have it back but the company Domainsource.com
decided to keep it possibly to make more money off of
the ads.
The
original owners can take some legal actions. Domainsource.com
obviously used Registrars.com according to a WHOIS lookup
over at Network Solutions.
The data found their also included some false information
on Domainsource.com's part. This breached Registrars.com's
agreement possibly giving the original owners some legal
options to work with.

more information you can visit Anime
News Network's article on this issue.
